Being an old school Arcade Fire fan it's slowly creeping... (Why do I hear influences of Talking Heads,Bob Marley,The Clash and some "80's band? ) You mean some 80's bands like Pulp, Human League, Magazine, Psychedelic Furs? I'm also an old fan, and not overly impressed by this CD. Some really good songs, sure, but they seem to believe everything they do is brilliant; methinks they fancy themselves a bit too much because of all the hype over recent years. But hey, maybe it's just an age thang!

Maybe six months down the line we’ll feel different H, as maybe it’s a grower but at the moment, I myself ain’t feeling it.
I’m thinking also, that maybe Arcade Fire have pampered to the mainstream audience? I tend to think Arcade Fire have a cult audience in much the same way that Bowie did in the early “70’s to “80.
