The first thought that popped into one's head when I saw the little photo above yesterday was that maybe Bowie was making a music video for a proposed forthcoming release of Valentine's Day as a single but then thought that idea a bit far fetched.
Why would he release a fourth single from an album that only contains 14 tracks ? (Standard version)
Why would he release a fourth limited edition single when surely these singles aren't making him much money (If any?) and it's clear it's only the eBay sellers who are profitting from his recent releases?
Why would he go to the exspence of making another video to help promote The Next Day when the promotion has saturated and the album is falling out of the charts?
And last night thought when I seen this on eBay...
Why would Bowie fans hear about this (proposed) release via a diddy eBay seller before any official record company or official Bowie site statement? (Unless this is just another example of the continuing rather shabby treatment of Bowie fans as the 'Golden years' turn to the twilight years in the Bowie career?)
Needless to say I've already ordered a copy so If a little 7" Bowie Valentine's Day single pops through my letterbox in August then this thread will remain or If I receive a little "refund email" with a "Sorry We Were Barking Mad" message then of course this thread will be deleted.

Don't normally post too much news that has been posted on Davidbowie.com (Why do folx still refer to it as Bowienet ? Duh) as it'd only be second hand as most folx would've seen it on their Facebook pages but thought yesterday's interesting not because it was interesting but because it contained this second hand quote......
"This matching songbook contains sheet music for all the tracks from The Next Day, including the singles Where Are We Now?, The Stars (Are Out Tonight), The Next Day and Valentine's Day."
when we've still not heard from an official source about Valentine's Day actually being the next 7" vinyl release from The Next Day album?
It's all strange when dodgey eBay sellers and dodgey internet music retailers are announcing forthcoming Bowie releases before davidbowie.com and Bowie's own music company.
But like said sometimes I enjoy being proved wrong.
Jack
PS Like said, I already ordered a copy from said dodgey eBay seller (If it is an actual official release?) but am guessing that If it is an actual release then after all this hype of "limited edition/RSD etc etc" HYPE which has us Bowie fans buying via the internet I'll still purchase a copy first via my local friendly record store like I've done with most of them which is a more enjoyable experience than having the latest Bowie release pop through your letterbox in company brown packaging which is a pain to open.

See from looking around the Bowie world that a member of the davidbowie.com forum pinned down the location as New York Port Authority's Grain Terminal and also on one of the online newspapers it states the video was directed in New York.
Could imagine the conversation in the Bowie household on the day of the video shoot went something like ...
Bowie - "Right luv I'm just nipping out to do a video!"
Iman - (Handing Bowie a list) "Could you pick me up these groceries on the way home honey?"

Bowie's 'stand in' for the forthcoming Louis Vuitton TV ad.
Could tell you who and where he's from but I'd rather let the "internet Bowienet fans" work for their money.
JackP.S. Incase anyone's wondering why a lot of my images have disappeared from this forum, that's just Photobucket trying to mug me off to upgrade (ie pay them monies ! )
All images will reappear after 6 days and Photobuckets subscription will have already been spent at the bar. ;D
